Need Help Right Now?
Some legal threats must be stopped immediately. In many cases, the client may have a day or less to get the court-ordered injunction that is needed to stop the threatened harm. We have the knowledge, experience and resources needed to promptly get the desired order and injunction. Acting immediately, we will get the client’s information, promptly file the case, secure an expedited hearing and get the desired order and injunction from the court.
Restraining Orders & Injunctions
Lawsuits typically take months and years to move to a final resolution. However, when the client is entitled to an injunction, a restraining order can be secured in a matter of days or hours.
Injunctions are considered an “extraordinary remedy” and will be granted only if the complaining party establishes the necessary elements of legal right and threatened “irreparable harm.” Such actions are typically fiercely contested by the other party and they proceed quickly.
The Rhodus Law Firm has handled many expedited lawsuits resulting in prompt restraining orders and injunctions protecting our client’s property and legal rights.
We provide our clients with experienced cost-effective representation in connection with all types of business controversies. Utilizing our extensive litigation knowledge, we seek to minimize the client's risk and expense with a prompt dispute evaluation and risk assessment. When disputes cannot be resolved through negotiation, we provide our clients skilled, vigorous representation in trials, arbitrations and appeals as needed.
Complex Litigation
We represent our clients in large, complex business litigation – the kind of litigation that involves large financial costs and risks but that may be needed, nonetheless, in order to enforce and protect the client’s most important property and legal rights.
Our resume includes extensive experience managing the trial and appeal of large cases that involve sophisticated legal issues, complicated facts, numerous witnesses, and thousands of documents.
Whether defending or prosecuting a lawsuit, we vigorously represent and advocate the best interests of our client’s in all types of business disputes and controversies.
Business start-ups are born out of optimism and enthusiasm. Sometimes as a result, the new owners fail to plan appropriately for governance, tax strategies, success, failure, succession and exits. We provide experienced business/legal knowledge, planning, strategies and documents that will get your business started and keep it growing.
Business Transactions
Our business clients have 24/7 access to sound legal advice and service. With a business perspective gained from years of service both as an entrepreneur and as a C-level executive of a public company, we provide business owners and executives sophisticated, cost-effective legal services in support of their most important relationships and transactions.
We provide clients representation, advice and documents in connection with business formations, business acquisitions, contracts and agreements, finance, employment law, real estate and leases, intellectual property, franchising, tax and regulation.
We promote and use preventive practices and strategies that help clients anticipate and minimize legal and regulatory risks and loss.
Get the Representation You Need in Franchise Matters
Buying a Franchise?
Franchise systems are designed and expected to function and operate in mutually beneficial ways, but the franchisor-franchisee relationship is still an arms-length contract that deserves study and careful analysis. We take special care to review and explain to our franchise-buyer client all of the important provisions and commitments that are found in the proposed Franchise Agreement. We inform the client about any troubling or less favorable provisions, and we will negotiate for the elimination or change of the undesirable provisions, as needed. We guide and assist the client with a thorough due diligence review and evaluation of the information found in the all-important Franchise Disclosure Documents.
In a Franchise Dispute?
We possess and apply years of business litigation experience and franchise-industry-specific knowledge, when advising and representing franchise clients in their disputes and litigation. Representing mostly the franchisee-investor, we pursue and advocate claims involving disclosures, misrepresentation, fraud, breach of contract, breach of implied covenants, territorial disputes, encroachment, exclusivity, terminations, non-competes and tortious interference, among many others. If our client’s problem cannot be resolved satisfactorily through negotiation, we will vigorously pursue their claims and rights, as needed, in state and federal courts throughout the country.
